President - Zaid Patel

Course -History & Politics BA

Zaid is an undergraduate student at the University of Leicester reading History & Politics. His subject interests include political thought, political economy, public law, migration, and public policy. Zaid was on a scholarship at Leicester during his first year due to his high achieving academic credentials. He’s also given numerous award-winning presentations to local municipality councils with the recent one being on implementation of Workplace Parking Levies around the world.

During his free time, he describes himself as an avid bibliophilist (must check out his library collection). He loves to read almost anything such as culture, history and even poetry. Moreover, languages are something which fascinates him. Apart from the 5 languages that he knows already, he'll find an excuse to learn another one.

Entrepreneurship intrigues him a lot as he’s got a nag of creating systems from scratch.

He’s a diehard Manchester United Fan which does affect his mental health sometimes, but he hopes they will return to their glory days someday. Feel free to chat/approach him if you see him walking past you anywhere !!
